2020: The Cursed Year | Everything That Happened In 2020
By now, everyone in this world must have realized that 2020 was not his/her year. People have gathered at the doors of the astrologers, with Sandals in their hands, who made them believe that 2020 was going to be their year. Just Kidding. But 2020 has given mankind, animals, and nature much more pain when compared to other years. With 2020 on the verge of completing its half-year, I would like to keep in front of you the ultimate 20 things that took place in 2020.
- Corona Virus Pandemic(COVID-19): One of the most deadly viruses mankind has ever come across and which made its pain felt all over the world is still at an increase and people don't know what to do as the vaccines are still under Lab Testing. Millions of People are affected all over the world and is increasing in thousands every day. First identified in the sea market of Wuhan, China, this virus has spread all over the world with hundreds of people dying every day but on the positive side, they are recovering in the number of thousands too. This led to 300 people getting homeless, No electricity, and paralyzed transportation.
- Supercyclone in India: Two Supercyclones, Cyclone Amphan(185kmph), and Cyclone Nisarga(100kmph), which recently occurred in India has killed over 100 people in India leaving many people homeless, damaging properties worth millions and landslides at many places across the country.
- Volcanic Eruption in Indonesia: Taking place in Indonesia's Krakatau, this volcanic eruption lasted for 83 minutes, spewing out smoke and ashes to up to 200 meter high.
- Death of celebrities all over the world: Sushant Singh Rajput, Kobe Bryant, Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, David Olney, Caroline Flack, and many others are among the most famous celebrities who left us this year. May their souls rest in peace.

- Murder Hornets: Giant insects known as Murder Hornets were spotted in the Washington State of the US. The venom of these insects is so strong that it can literally kill you within 30 minutes.
- George Floyd's murder by four local police officials in the US, led to massive protests in America with the slogan "Black lives Matter", amidst the corona pandemic.
- Lonar Lake in India turns pink overnight: The famous lake of India, Lonar Lake, formed after a meteorite hit Earth. The lake changed its color to pink overnight. Scientists believe that it happened due to some algae salinity present in the water body.
- The explosion of a natural oil well in Assam, India. Over 1600 families were evacuated from the spot by the relief camps.

- Series of Earthquakes in Delhi, India: A total of Nine Earthquakes were felt in the capital of India, Delhi, and it is believed that a total of 17 earthquakes would occur this year.
Within 6 months, the total devastation caused is much much more than any other previous year. With Cyclones and Earthquakes lined up, we still do not know what else surprise 2020 holds for us. The most we can do is live our life to the fullest today because we do not know what tomorrow holds for us.
