The very Popular Online Streaming app, Netflix India recently launched free upgrades to standard and premium plans to all its members. However, the offer is valid for 30 days only.
As per a report issued by Gadgets 360, Netflix India is providing free upgrades to its Standard and Premium plans. But hey! Here's the twist. Netflix is only offering upgrades to those members who are already active on its Basic and Standard plans. That means you can upgrade to Netflix Standard if you're already using Netflix Basic and can upgrade to Netflix Premium if you already have Netflix Standard. However, this extra benefit will be available to you for a period of 30 days only and once this trail pack gets over, your plan will be reversed back to Netflix's Basic and Standard Plans.
But what's the benefit? Well, A Netflix Standard plan lets you access high definition video resolution as well as allows its users to view Netflix on two screens. On the other hand, with the Netflix Premium plan, you can stream videos on Ultra High Definition Resolution which is similar to a 4K video quality. Along with this benefit, it also allows you to log in to 4 devices at a time.
You can make full use of Netflix's Standard and Premium plans for 30 days after which Netflix asks you if you want to upgrade to a Standard or Premium plan or go back to the original plan. Your answer decides whether you pay Rs. 649(Standard) or Rs. 799(Premium) or stick to your original plan and price. This is nothing but a new marketing strategy adopted by Netflix where it lets its users experience the benefits of its premium plans and enhanced features for a month. Recently, Netflix India also released a mobile-only plan which is priced at Rs.199 per month which allows you to have access to the full content but not in HD quality. The Basic plan is priced at Rs.499 per month, Standard plan at Rs. 649 per month, and Premium plan at Rs. 799 per month. While the benefit is only limited to its members, it is not less than a treat for those who love streaming on Netflix.
Netflix recently also declared that it will be canceling subscriptions of users who are inactive for about a year, after notifying them via email or SMS, of course.
