The world is already dealing with the deadly corona virus pandemic and here comes another heartbreaking news that sends chills down the spines of every person in the country. One of the most versatile and excellent actor of Bollywood, Irrfan Khan, passed away on Wednesday in Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The actor was battling Neuroendocrine cancer since 2018 and was under observation for few days because of his Colon Infection. Doctors on 29th April,2020, Wednesday confirmed his death. The whole country has lost a masterpiece today.
The 53 year old actor has featured in over 50 films and has received numerous award including National Filmfare Awards and Filmfare Awards in four categories. For his versatile, natural acting and his contribution to the field of arts, he was awarded the PADMA SHRI, India's fourth highest civilian honor. The actor made his debut in the bollywood film industry with an Acedemy Award -nominated film Salaam Bombay! in 1988. He made his way to the top by his excellent dialogue delivery and splendid acting performance in Paan Singh Tomar(2011), which also garnered him the National Film Award for best actor and Filmfare critics award for best actor. Not only this, his excellent performance in Lunchbox(2013) earned him universal acclaim by the critics and audiences and was also nominated for the BAFTA Award. Some of his best films include Haider(2014), Gunday(2014), Piku(2015), Talvar(2015), Hindi Medium(2017) and his latest and very unfortunately, his last film Angrezi Medium(2020).
Irrfan Khan has also made his presence felt globally by working in some of the spectacular movies like The Warrior, The Namesake, Slumdog Millionaire, New York- I Love You, The Amazing Spiderman, Life of Pi, Jurassic World, Inferno and Darjeeling Limited.
